Been here twice. Both times phenomenal. From specials as delicious food for accommodating the kiddos in our party the service and the food is spectacular! I recommend the seafood pasta!

The food is great and the happy hour food specials are a great value. But you must try some of the specialty cocktails. Hopefully, Mindy will be your bartender. She is the best in Door County!

The restaurant is housed on a golf course and has a sort of country club feel to it. Charming yet dated decor and plays fun and fitting Sinatra style music while you dine. Our server was one of those...got the job done but would walk away before you could ask for anything else types. She was busy but slowing down a bit and giving your customers some personalization can go a long way. The food was very good. Fresh salads, good bread and the pastas were very well prepared. And hey... they offer reservations via Open Table which is rare in Door Co. So if you are In the mood for Italian in the area I would defiantly give this place a try.

Chicken Parm and make your own pasta were good options. Service was average and seating for a large party was not optimal.

Stopped in here for dinner. Treated like family. Gorgeous view of the golf course. Delicious bread, wine, and entrees. I had the salmon with ravioli and creamy pesto. Hubs had the veal Marsala. Ben's mom's tiramisu is fab. Such a fantastic meal from start to finish. The Wuollets know how to run a restaurant. Well done.

I was fortunate enough to discover Pasta Vino by accident in the short stay it had behind the Pig in Sister Bay and absolutely loved the food. When they moved to Ellison Bay I made the trip a few times and was again always impressed with the food. Now across the peninsula in Baileys Harbor they still have managed to maintain the excellent quality of food. On this last trip the service didn't quite measure up to the food but wasn't bad. If you're looking for a great meal at an affordable price in Door County this is one of if not the best choice you can make.

This is not the Wonderful Pasta Vino that was in Ellison Bay! Not the same chef, portions not very big for the price and the pasta dishes were bland and boring. Vodka cream sauce bland, chicken frangelico not to tasty and chicken carbonara quality just not there! They do have good bread! Atmosphere was dated and from the 1960s and needs a lot of updating and refreshing!! We will not be back soon and were disappointed in the quality. We loved the Pasta Vino that was in Ellison Bay, no comparison!

Patsy and her staff outdid themselves for both food and service in only their second week open. If you like Chop, expect the same experience with an Italian twist. The Panko crusted chicken in any shape or form was incredible. So many choices...... Will be back soon!

I have to say, despite the rocky start of our meal with a rather bad bar experience, our experience as a whole was really great. We came a little early for our reservation and took a seat at the bar. The bartender seemed a little overwhelmed and took some time to welcome us. He wasnt all that friendly and really acted like were a bother rather than welcoming us warmingly. But once we got to our table everything changed. Our waitress was very friendly and really made us feel welcome. The food was fantastic. The appetizers were tasty, the salad fresh and the entrees to die for. I particularly enjoyed the lasagna. All in all it was a very pleasant experience.

Excellent drinks. Great Food. Seafood Pasta was a dish to remember. Maxwelton is one of the historic locations in Door County so you must stop on by Pasta Vino!

My partner and I have eaten many times at the "old" Pasta Vino. So we were hoping that the food would be just as delicious at the new location. Alas, the food was severely lacking. In how many Italian recipes can a chef add panko (Japanese bread crumbs)? Isn't 5 chicken recipes and one veal a bit much? We really missed the pesto chicken (chicken, NO PANKO, mushrooms, onions, tomato, and artichokes in a pesto sauce of the original owner's creation.) Also missed royally was Shrimp Napoli. Most of the entrees from the old Pasta Vino simply are missing--even though the new owners purchased the recipes. Really a shame.Prices were about the same, but the servings were 1/2 of what they were. The food was unexceptional and rather bland. The only bright spots were service--an over-worked server still gave us excellent service, and the tiramisu. I don't think we will be back.

Extremely great food and welcoming atmosphere. Even live music to add to the experience! If planning on visiting the restaurant, however, make a reservation ahead of time on the website. Our group of five ended up waiting over an hour for a table. But overall, definitely a restaurant worth visiting again and again!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
